YOGA VASHISHTA IN CONTEXT OF CORONA VIRUS OR IN GENERAL ANY “CHOLERIC PAIN

Following article is an ongoing of self contemplation and understanding our Bharateeya (Indian) culture in context of “Corona Virus
outbreak”.
I was browsing through internet with reference to “Descriptions of Virus, Bacteria and possible solutions” in our Ancient Vedic texts. During
the course of search I found the following.
I was reading through Yoga VashishTa. It is a spiritual text, about which whereabouts about its author are still under mystic clouds. Some say,
its written by “Maharishi Valmiki” himself. Some say, it was later added in ADs.
It is said in this book that, when “Lord Rama EXHIBITS (when he really is not) a dejected state of a prince” when he sees trouble all over and
within himself, he approaches Sage VashisTa. Vashista for the sake of wellbeing of the entire life forms, through “Lord Vishnu’s” order
(agnyaa), provides a discource to “Lord Rama” in the form of “Yoga VashishTa”. While i was browsing through internet, I got stuck with these two chapters “3.68” and “3.69” which refers about a Rakshasi called “Karkati” who lives in “North to Himalayas”. She was also caled as Visuchi - (choleric pain). This monstrous demon, had insatiable hunger. She thought of entering India and devour all the living beings in one swoop. She thinks herself “All people here are well guarded (during Treta yuga) by means of their mantras, medicines, austerities, devotions and
charities, from all evils of the world. So its impossible for any body to destroy the indestructuble devotee” She performs sever tapas (austerities) and Lord Brahma appears and provides her a boon. She thus asks for boon to kill her “hunger/apetite”. As per the boon: “She becomes much more minute than the top of a needle pin”. Smaller than visibility. She thus divides herself in many such forms and devours animal beings sucking blood of beings, till her hunger is satisfied. Lord Brahma says: ““Thou shalt be the cruel cause of acute pain and pang to all living being; and particularly to the intemperate and
hard-working fools, and loose libertines, who are destined to be thy devoted victims. Moreover shalt thou molest the dwellers of unhealthy districts, and the practicers of malpractices; by entering their hearts with thy infectious breath, and by disturbing their sleep, and deranging the liver and other intestinal parts of the body. Thou shalt be of the form of wind (in the bowels), and cause bile and flatulence under the different names of colic diseases, and attack the intemperate both among the wise and unwise” Lord Brahma himself declares, for people to overcome the diseases caused by you, they should recite following mantra and follow the
procedure recited:

Knowing what divides will not Unite us

Any news channel we observe, we see a debate or discussion under way based on the current affairs. For example recently we saw an emotional speech by a famous party Vice president, where an emotional pitching was seen. He cited riots in his speech starting from Muzzafarnagar to Gujarat to Kashmir. Immediately we saw a string of debates on Communalism Vs secularism. In the debate in timesnow we saw two politicians from major political parties, when a string of discussions opened up about riots starting from 1960s to now. Again those topics which raise emotional feelings in all viewers be it any community.

Though there is a need for media to debate and close any issue raised due to current affairs which affect india.
Media will not totally project what is good for the Country, they are bothered about their TRP.
But boon it seems, Social media has given a meagre voice (atleast) to the country and its intellect share of citizens.

All the political parties are capable to talk about those reasons/aspects which divide the people/community of our country. But if we really do a phase shift or see the complementary part, we may infact get many more inspiring and "Self" motivating aspects which connect:

1. Me with you
2. You with me
3. More important: Us with country

If we are able to tell what divides the country, then we should be able to find out what unites the country.
By talking What divides the country we will not be able to unite it.
But Talking about what things connect each one of us will give us a motivating factor and hence desire for Unity.
